The Gardner-Harvey Library TEC Lab Makerspace TEC Lab Workshop on making clocks with record albums 2017

The TEC Lab Makerspace @ the Gardner-Harvey Library is dedicated to the discovery of talents for creativity and design through the provision of tools for making. It is a place where people can come to make digital or physical items and find guidance and support for their efforts. The makerspace is committed to supporting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary course assignments alongside independent and collaborative use of the creative activities within the space. Students, faculty and staff members, and members of the Middletown community are free to experiment with these creative arts and technologies, to learn and master new skills, and to collaborate with others in a supportive, open environment.

Where and When Can I Use the TEC Lab?

  • The TEC Lab Makerspace is located on the main level of the Gardner-Harvey Library in Room 125.
  • It is available during the library's open hours.
  • For independent use of the space, you will need to sign a user agreement, and be briefed on general safety guidelines and the operation of the equipment you plan to use.
  • Ask at the InfoDesk for a tour or a demonstration of any of our ways of making!
